- development of narrow interests

Used the term “autistic psychopathy”, a personality disorder

Asperger’s Syndrome was virtually unknown in the west, while Leo Kanner’s work on Autism was widely known. This is primarily due to the fact that Asperger was working in Austria in and around WWII, while his compatriot, Kanner, had emigrated to the United States.
